Description
Nizofenzone fumarate is a potent antianoxic agent reported of benefit to geriatric and
stroke patients. In animal models nizofenzone is reported to have protective effects against
anoxia, global ischemia or other conditions resulting from cerebral infarction. It is also
claimed to be a sedative and anticonvulsant.

Acute toxicity LD50 male and female mice, male and female rats (mg/kg): 495, 504, 1711, 1580 orally; 62, 70, 63, 65 intravenously; 270, 278, 1830, 1629 subcutaneously.
