Synthesis
The general procedure for the synthesis of 4-bromothiophene-2-carboxamide from the compound (CAS: 31767-01-8) is as follows: in a 25 mL round-bottomed flask equipped with a magnetic stirrer, aldoxime (5 mmol), copper(II) acetate (45 mg, 0.25 mmol), acetonitrile (10 mg, 0.25 mmol), and ethanol (15 mL) were added in sequence. The reaction mixture was stirred for 4-8 hours at 78 °C or 12 hours at room temperature. After completion of the reaction, the solvent was removed by rotary evaporator. The crude product was purified by column chromatography to afford the target compound 4-bromothiophene-2-carboxamide.
