Chemical Properties
The pure product is white crystal. mp132℃, the solubility at 20℃ is: dichloromethane 40%, cyclohexanone 20%, toluene 10%, propylene glycol 5%, water 1.5mg/L. It is decomposed in 0.2mol/L sulfuric acid solution and stable in 0.1mol/L sodium hydroxide solution.
Uses
Fluotrimazol is a fluoride-containing azole fungicide. It is characterized by high biological activity and low toxicity, and has special effects on powdery mildews such as cucumbers, peaches, barley, and grapes.
Definition
ChEBI: Fluotrimazole is a triazole fungicide.
Synthesis
Using m-bromotrifluorotoluene as the starting material, the Grignard reagent is formed, followed by nucleophilic addition with benzophenone. Then it is hydrolyzed with ammonium chloride and reacted with 1,2,4-triazole under the protection of nitrogen to obtain Fluotrimazol.
