Description
25-desacetyl rifampicin, also known as 25-deacetyl-rifampicin, is the main metabolite of rifampicin. It has partial activity. Rifampicin mainly treats various forms of tuberculosis. High-Performance Liquid Chromatographic can be used to determine the metabolism of rifampicin in the body by checking the concentration of 25-desacetyl rifampicin in the urine or blood of tuberculosis patients[1-3].
