Application
Hydroxydicyclopentene can be used as a raw material for polyester resins, urea-formaldehyde resins, melamine resins, and alkyd resins; it is also used as a raw material for tackifiers, plasticizers, coatings, rust removers, and printing inks; hydroxydicyclopentene is used as a rubber raw material, serving as the third monomer in ethylene propylene rubber; it also produces good rubber after ring-opening polymerization; furthermore, hydroxydicyclopentene can be used as a pesticide raw material and as a good high-energy fuel. Developing a fine chemical industry based on dicyclopentadiene is of great significance.
