Synthesis
GENERAL PROCEDURE: Ammonium chloride (0.54 g, 10 mmol) and ethanol (3 mL) were added to a 25 mL round bottom flask, followed by morpholine (10 mmol). The reaction mixture was placed on a magnetic stirrer and heated to reflux for 2 hours. After completion of the reaction, the solvent was removed by rotary evaporator to give morpholine hydrochloride as a white solid in quantitative yield.
