Description
Carboxymethyl Cellulose Sodium (Na CMC) is the sodium salt of carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC), the world's most widely used and abundant cellulose. Na CMC is used for its thickening and swelling properties in a wide range of complex formulations in the pharmaceutical, food, home and personal care applications, as well as in the papermaking, water treatment and mineral processing industries.
Uses
Carboxymethyl Cellulose Sodium (Na CMC) is widely used in electronics, pesticides, leather, plastics, printing, ceramics, daily-use chemicals and other fields. It is used as anti-caking agent, desiccant, emulsifier, formulation agent, humectant, stabiliser or thickener in foodstuffs, etc. It is also used as eye lubricant in pharmaceuticals to relieve eye dryness and inflammation. It is also used as flocculant, chelating agent, detergent, sizing agent, film-forming material and so on. It is also used in the manufacture of flexible sensors and to enhance the permeability of geosynthetic clay liners (GCL).
