  Methanthelinebromide, diethyl(2-hydroxyethyl)methylammonium bromidexanthene-9-carboxylate (Banthine Bromide), is awhite, slightly hygroscopic, crystalline salt that is solublein water to produce solutions with a pH of about 5.Aqueous solutions are not stable and hydrolyze in a fewdays.
