Ethanol, 2-amino-, reaction products with ammonia, by-products from, distn. residues is a complex substance obtained as a by-product during the manufacture of ethyleneamines from amination of monoethanolamine with ammonia. It is separated by distillation at a boiling point >160.degree.C at approximately 30 mmHg. It may contain diethanolamine, triethylenetetramine, 2-[[2-[(2-aminoethyl)amino]ethyl]amino]ethanol and polyethylenepolyamines.
