General Description
NH₂-PEG₃-OH (CAS 6338-55-2) is a high-purity, discrete, hetero-bifunctional PEG linker. Its synonyms include Amino-PEG3, Amine-PEG3-OH, (PEO)3-MONO-AMINE, Amino-PEG3-alcohol and 2-[2-(2-aminoethoxy)ethoxy]ethanol, amongst others. The NH₂-PEG₃-OH molecule consists of three parts: an amino group, a short chain comprising three PEG units, and a hydroxyl group. It can be used for peptide modification, the synthesis of small-molecule targeted drugs, ADCs and PROTACs. The amino group can react with carboxylic acids, activated NHS esters, and carbonyl groups (ketones, aldehydes); the hydroxyl group can be further converted into other functional groups. The PEG chains help to improve the solubility and stability of the drug.
