Tert-butyl 4-carbamoylpiperidine-1-carboxylate (160 mg, 0.7 mmol) was used as a raw material and dissolved in dichloromethane (2 mL). Subsequently, 4 M solution of ethyl acetate hydrochloride (2 mL) was added and the reaction mixture was stirred at room temperature for 30 minutes. After completion of the reaction, the solvent was removed by distillation under reduced pressure to afford piperidine-4-carboxamide hydrochloride (112 mg) as a white solid in 97% yield.
