Cesium formate could be used as a weighting agent of a novel drilling and completing fluid base fluid has excellent performance. This compound has a great potential for use as sealing and packing liquids as densities up to 2.3 SG can be achieved. In the presence of cesium formate in dry MeOH solution, α-halo ketones underwent a direct conversion reaction to afford α-hydroxy ketone in excellent yields. Introducing cesium formate (CsFa) as the Cs precursor COULD fabricate efficient WBG PSCs[1-3].
