Propargyl-PEG8-acid has an alkyne group and an acid group. The acid group can derivatize amine-containing molecules in the presence of activators such as EDC or HATU. The alkyne group can react with azides via copper catalyzed Click Chemistry reactions. The PEG units help increase the solubility of the molecule in aqueous environment.

Propargyl-PEG8-acid is a PEG-based PROTAC linker can be used in the synthesis of PROTACs. Propargyl-PEG8-acid is a cleavable ADC linker used in the synthesis of antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs). The ADCs can be used in bacterial infections caused by Gram-negative bacteria[1]. Propargyl-PEG8-acid is a click chemistry reagent, it contains an Alkyne group and can undergo copper-catalyzed azide-alkyne cycloaddition (CuAAc) with molecules containing Azide groups.
