Rhizoferrin is a fungal siderophore (microbial iron transport compound).
Uses
Rhizoferrin is a siderophore, which can be isolated from Rhizopus microsporus. Rhizoferrin binds iron ions with high affinity, and can be used as an effective iron source[1].
