The hydroxyl group enables further derivatization or replacement with other reactive functional groups. The Boc group can be deprotected under mild acidic conditions to form the free amine.

N-Boc-PEG7-alcohol is a PROTAC bridge that belongs to the PEG class and the Alkyl/ether class. It can be used to synthesize a series of PROTAC molecules. Also it is a cleavable ADC linker for the synthesis of antibody drug conjugates (ADCs).
