Guanosine 5′-monophosphate (GMP) is a ribonucleoside monophospate which
upon phosphorylation to GTP becomes incorporated into ribonucleic acids
(RNAs) by various RNA polymerase(s). Ganosine 5'-monophosphate disodium salt (GMP-Na2) can be used in the detection and validation of a transcreener assay for detection of AMP- and GMP-producing enzymes.
