Hyaluronidase

Hyaluronidase is extracted from the mammals testicular to hydrolyse hyaluronic acid polysaccharides. The enzyme activity is not less than 300 units per mg.

PREPARATION

Hyaluronidase was extracted from the quarantine inspected mammals testicular, the production process conform to GMP requirements.

CHARACTERS

White to light yellow powder, odourless, soluble in water, but insoluble in ethanol, acetone or aether.

PH

Weight appropriate amount hyaluronidase and dissolve in water to 3mg/ml, pH value is 4.5 ~ 7.5.

CLEARANCE AND COLOUR

Weight 0.1 g hyluronidase and dissolve with 10ml water, the solution is clear and colourless, if colour, not deeper than the 4th yellow standard solution.

ABSORBANCE

Weight appropriate amount hyaluronidase and dissolve in water to 300 units/ml, measure the absorption according to spectrophotometry method, is less than 0.6 at 280nm wavelength, and less than 0.42 at 260nm wavelength.

DRY WEIGHT LOSS

Weight 0.1 g hyluronidase and put it in P2O5 desiccator,dry for 4h under lower pressure, the weight loss is less than 5.0%.

TYROSINE CONTENT

Not more than 0.1μg tyrosine is found in 1 unit hyluronidase.

ABNORMAL TOXICITY

Conform to the standard of C.P.

ENDOTOXIN

Not more than 0.20 EU endotoxin is found in 1 unit hyluronidase.

ACTIVITY MEASUREMENT

The activity is measured according to C.P. (2010 edition, appendix XII (C))
