2011年5月24日，台湾地区有关方面向国家质检总局通报，发现台湾“昱伸香 料有限公司”制售的食品添加剂“起云剂”以 邻苯二甲酸二(2-乙基己基)酯(DEHP)，代替昂贵的棕榄油。据调查该企业作为台湾的起云剂供应商，其产品被使用于果汁、果酱、运动饮料和益生菌 等数十个系列，近两百种品牌。

邻苯二甲酸酯(DEHP)是一种增塑剂，属于强致癌物，长期接触会影响生殖系统 健康。 对于食品中邻苯二甲酸酯的检测，主要使用方法国标GB/T21911-2008《食品中邻苯二甲酸酯的测定》。此标准适用于食品中16种邻苯二甲酸酯类物 质，含油脂样品中各邻苯二甲酸酯化合物的检出限为1.5mg/kg，不含油脂样品中各邻苯二甲酸酯化合物的检出限为0.05mg/kg。
