 2-(2'-Hydroxy-5'-Methylphenyl)Benzotriazole

Introduction :

UV-P is a benzotriazole type ultraviolet light absorber (UVA), imparting good light stability for plastics and other organic polymers. UV-P protects polymers as well as organic pigments from UV radiation helping to preserve the original appearance and physical integrity of engineered plastics, elastomers, PVC, adhesives, and polyurethanes during outdoor weathering.

Applications

1. Unsaturated Polyester : 0.2-0.5wt% based on polymer weight

2.PVC:

Rigid PVC : 0.2-0.5wt% based on polymer weight

Plasticized PVC : 0.1-0.3wt% based on polymer weight

3.Polyurethane : 0.2-1.0wt% based on polymer weight

4.Polyamide : 0.2-0.5wt% based on polymer weight

Storage

The product may be stored up to two years in a sealed container. Containers should be stored in a cool, dry area. Extended storage at elevated temperatures or exposure to direct heat or sunlight could reduce product life. Keep containers sealed when no in use.

Handing

In accordance with good industrial practice, handle with care and avoid unnecessary personal contact. Protect skin. Prevent contamination of the environment. Avoid dust formation and ignition sources.

Packing

UV-P is available in powder form in a 50 kg (110.2 pound) or a 25kg(55.1 pound) fiber drum, net weight, with an inner PE liner
