Biological Activity

Fully biologically active when compared to standard. The ED50 as determined by a cytotoxicity assay using human HT-29 cells is less than 2μg/ml, corresponding to a specific activity of >500IU/mg in the presence of murine anti-polyHistidine monoclonal antibody and rHuIFN-γ.

Reconstitution

We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Reconstitute in 100mM HAc to a concentration of 0.1-1.0mg/ml. Stock solutions should be apportioned into working aliquots and stored at ≤-20℃. Further dilutions should be made in appropriate buffered solutions.

Background

Murine LIGHT is a type II membrane protein that is a member of the TNF superfamily (TNFSF14). LIGHT is an acronym that stands for is homologous to Lymphotoxins, exhibits Inducible expression, and competes with HSV Glycoprotein D for HVEM, a receptor expressed by Tlymphocytes. LIGHT has also been called HVEM-L and LT-gamma.
