Description：天蚕素（cecropins）是第一个被发现的动物抗菌肽，具有广谱抗菌效果。这类多肽一般由35-39个氨基酸组成，序列中一般不含半胱氨酸，同时序列N端含有很多碱性氨基酸，所以会表现出比较强的碱性，在结构上呈现出双亲螺旋结构；而在序列的C端包含很多疏水性氨基酸，形成了疏水螺旋，两种不同的螺旋之间，由脯氨酸和甘氨酸结合形成铰链区，增加了结构的弹性。Cecropin B (free acid)是一条C端羧基裸露的35肽。

Cecropins are the first discovered animal antimicrobial peptides with broad-spectrum antibacterial effects. These polypeptides typically consist of 35-39 amino acids, generally lack cysteine residues in their sequences, and feature a highly alkaline N-terminal region, resulting in strong basicity. Structurally, they exhibit an amphipathic helical conformation, while the C-terminal region contains numerous hydrophobic amino acids, forming a hydrophobic helix. The two distinct helices are connected by a hinge region composed of proline and glycine, enhancing structural flexibility. Cecropin B (free acid) is a 35-residue peptide with an exposed C-terminal carboxyl group.
