描述Liothyronine (Standard) is a standard reference substance for analytical research and assay. Liothyronine (Tresitope) is a synthetic highly active thyroid hormone and a potent agonist of TRα and TRβ (with Ki values of 2.33 nM for both hTRα and hTRβ). It activates TRβ1 receptors, promotes the metabolism of carbohydrates, proteins and lipids, accelerates oxidative processes in tissue cells, maintains basal metabolic rate, and contributes to body growth and development. It can be used to induce hyperthyroidism animal models.
