It works by inhibiting and accelerating the release of norepinephrine, a mechanism that likely underpins its decongestant and stimulating effects. Unlike other norepinephrine-releasing agents such as phenethylamines, Tuaminoheptane's chemical structure lacks an aromatic ring.
