描述4'-Hydroxy-3'-methylacetophenone is a phenolic volatile natural product isolated from raw coffee beans (Coffea Arabica L.) in Hawaii. 4'-Hydroxy-3'-methylacetophenone exhibits potent antioxidant activity, comparable to that of other phenolic volatile compounds such as thymol and eugenol. 4'-Hydroxy-3'-methylacetophenone is a key intermediate in organic synthesis and can be used to construct heterocyclic compounds with anti-mycobacterial activity.
