描述Herbacetin-3-sophoroside-8-glucoside is a flavonol glucoside extracted from the stems of Equisetum hyemale, a species native to Iceland, Greenland, and central to northern Eurasia including Kamchatka and Japan, and traditionally used as an anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, diuretic, and anticancer herbal treatment. Herbacetin-3-sophoroside-8-glucoside contributes to selective antiproliferative effects against oral squamous cell carcinoma cell lines by inducing apoptosis while maintaining low toxicity toward normal cells, supporting its pharmacological significance.
