名称β-Carotene (Standard)
描述β-Carotene (Standard) is the reference standard of β-carotene, applicable to quantitative analysis, quality control, biochemical experiments, and related research. As a carotenoid, β-carotene is a natural precursor of vitamin A and acts as a reactive oxygen species modulator with both antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects. Its antioxidant or pro-oxidant effects depend on its intrinsic properties and the redox status of the biological microenvironment. In addition, β-carotene can induce apoptosis in breast cancer cells and shows certain antitumor activity.
体外活性方法： 以 MCF-7 乳腺癌细胞为研究对象，给予 β-Carotene 处理。 结果： β-Carotene 可上调 MCF-7 细胞中 PPAR-γ 表达及 ROS 生成 。 方法： 用不同浓度 β-Carotene（1–100 μM）处理 MCF-7 细胞 72 h。 结果： β-Carotene 以剂量依赖性方式显著降低 MCF-7 细胞存活率 。 方法： 用 50 μM β-Carotene 处理 MCF-7 细胞 24–72 h。 结果： β-Carotene 以时间依赖性方式显著提高 PPAR-γ 的 mRNA 与蛋白表达水平 。 方法： 体外培养 MCF-7 细胞并给予 β-Carotene 干预。 结果： β-Carotene 以时间依赖性方式下调 COX-2，同时上调 p21 的 mRNA 与蛋白表达 。 方法： 体外检测 β-Carotene 对 MCF-7 细胞凋亡的影响，并使用 GW9662 或 GSH 预孵育。 结果： β-Carotene 显著提高早期细胞凋亡比例，该效应可被 GW9662 或 GSH 部分减弱 。 方法： 体外研究 β-Carotene 对 MCF-7 细胞线粒体相关蛋白的影响。 结果： β-Carotene 可诱导细胞色素 C 释放 [3]。
