Isophthalic Acid (IPA, CAS 121-91-5) is a high-purity, white crystalline powder or granulate. It is insoluble in cold water, slightly soluble in hot water, and easily soluble in ethanol, acetone, and glacial acetic acid. As a critical dicarboxylic acid derivative, IPA serves as a premier chemical building block for fabricating advanced polymers and specialty chemicals. Compared with Paraxylene-derived PTA, the unique meta-structured aromatic ring of IPA imparts downstream resins with exceptional elasticity, superior optical clarity, strong impact resistance, and elite chemical anti-corrosion properties.
