植物来源：香紫苏(Salvia Sclare L.)又名南欧单参、莲座鼠尾草,是鼠尾草属唇形科香料植物.原产于欧洲,现在主要产于法国、俄罗斯、乌兹别克斯坦等国家.我国从二十世纪70年代初引入该植物.

植物分布：香紫苏草生长在陕西北部浅山区、由于该地区一天两极温差大,温湿度和海拔高度适宜本草的生长,因此生产的产品含酯量高以及香气纯正而著称。

3：香紫苏内酯能够增大和提高食品的感官，因此已经广泛用于食品工业。可用在含有甜味佐料的食品中，作为调味剂，增加食品的嗅觉效果，在咖啡工业中加入少量香紫苏内酯，可以加重咖啡苦味，提高咖啡的提神效果应用范围。

4：在没有心血管刺激作用情况下，当减少身体脂肪时，香紫苏内酯能够帮助增进变瘦身体的质量，因此已经广泛用于减肥产品。美国、日本以及欧洲国家含有香紫苏内酯的减肥食品比较多，比较热门.
