描述DEAE-dextran, MW 500000 hydrochloride is a cationic polysaccharide derivative obtained by diethylaminoethyl (DEAE) modification of dextran derived from Leuconostoc mesenteroides. DEAE-dextran, MW 500000 hydrochloride facilitates cellular uptake of nucleic acids by forming complexes with them and is commonly used to enhance the delivery of RNA or DNA into cells. DEAE-dextran, MW 500000 hydrochloride is widely applied as a tool in gene delivery and transfection studies and can also be used for liposome surface modification.
