Opelkibart is a human IgG1‑kappa monoclonal antibody that specifically targets KIT (also known as CD117 or stem cell factor receptor), a receptor tyrosine kinase. As an IgG1 isotype, it is designed to engage immune effector functions such as antibody‑dependent cellular cytotoxicity (ADCC). KIT is involved in cell proliferation, survival, and differentiation, and is often overexpressed or mutated in certain tumors, notably in gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GIST), acute myeloid leukemia (AML), and mast cell disorders.
