性质碳酸亚乙烯酯为无色或淡黄色透明液体，熔点19~22℃，沸点162℃。用途用作有机合成中间体、锂电池电解液添加剂用途碳酸亚乙烯酯可用作锂电池添加剂，生物降解材料的单体。生产方法3967-54-2872-36-6以氯代碳酸乙烯酯(CEC)为原料合成碳酸亚乙烯酯的一般步骤：将61.3kg（500mmol）氯代碳酸乙烯酯、151kg（1500mmol）三乙胺、120kg乙酸乙酯及61.3g对叔丁基邻苯二酚加入混合器中，搅拌至完全溶解。将混合溶液以0.05m/s的流速注入水平管式反应器中，控制反应温度在25-30℃，反应100分钟。反应完成后，过滤除去固体三乙胺盐酸盐。滤液用30%氢氧化钠溶液洗涤后，通过蒸汽（0.25MPa）间接加热，蒸出的三乙胺经冷凝器回收。向脱氯段的冷却液中加入处理后的滤液，进行减压蒸馏以回收乙酸乙酯。随后进行精馏，控制压力为0.098MPa，收集160-165℃的馏分，得到碳酸亚乙烯酯，收率为96.5%，GC纯度为99.5%。
