This protein carries a polyhistidine tag at the C-terminus, followed by an Avi tag (Avitag™).

The protein is designed as a dimer.

背景介绍

碳酸酐酶（CAs）是一个庞大的锌金属酶家族。这类酶能催化二氧化碳与水快速转化为碳酸氢根和质子（或逆向反应），该可逆反应在无催化剂条件下进行极为缓慢。在动物体内，碳酸酐酶的功能之一是通过调节二氧化碳与碳酸氢根的相互转化，维持血液及其他组织的酸碱平衡，并协助二氧化碳从组织中转运。大多数碳酸酐酶的活性中心含有锌离子，目前已知至少存在五个不同的CA家族（α、β、γ、δ和ε）。

碳酸酐酶9（CA9/CAIX）又称膜抗原MN、肾细胞癌相关抗原G250，属于α-碳酸酐酶家族。CA9/CAIX在pH 6.49条件下具有最佳活性，可催化二氧化碳的可逆水合反应。CA IX参与细胞内pH调节，可能涉及细胞增殖与转化过程的调控。CA-IX被视为宫颈上皮内瘤变的新型特异性生物标志物。
