蛋白结构（Molecular Characterization）

This protein carries an Avi tag (Avitag™) at the C-terminus, followed by a polyhistidine tag.

The protein has a calculated MW of 17.6 kDa. The protein migrates as 23-25 kDa under reducing (R) condition, and 20-23 kDa when calibrated against Star Ribbon Pre-stained Protein Marker under non-reducing (NR) condition (SDS-PAGE) due to glycosylation.

白细胞介素-4（IL-4）是一种诱导初始辅助T细胞（Th0细胞）分化为Th2细胞的细胞因子。在Th2型免疫应答（尤其见于过敏和寄生虫感染）产生的IL-4与IL-13作用下，巨噬细胞可发生替代性激活。IL-4是白细胞介素4受体的配体，而该受体还能结合IL-13，这导致二者产生显著的功能重叠。信号转导与转录激活因子6（STAT6）被证实在该细胞因子的免疫调节信号传递中起核心作用。最新研究发现，在Itk、KLF2、CBP及Id3等基因缺陷小鼠品系中，IL-4能在无抗原预刺激的情况下，介导胸腺内先天CD8阳性T细胞的发育。
