蛋白结构（Molecular Characterization）

This protein carries a polyhistidine tag at the C-terminus, followed by an Avi tag (Avitag™).

The protein has a calculated MW of 15.9 kDa. The protein migrates as 17 kDa and 28-37 kDa under reducing (R) condition (SDS-PAGE) due to glycosylation.

白细胞介素13（IL-13）又称ALRH、BHR1和P600，是一种单链糖基化多肽，是调控炎症和免疫反应的关键细胞因子。该因子由多种细胞分泌，其中2型辅助T细胞（Th2）是主要分泌源。IL-13通过多亚基受体发挥作用，该受体包含白细胞介素4受体α链（IL-4Rα）以及至少一条已知的IL-13特异性结合链。IL-13的功能与IL-4存在高度重叠性，尤其在对造血细胞的影响方面，不过由于IL-4作用更强效，这些重叠效应的重要性相对较低。作为防止过敏炎症过度发展（易诱发窒息）的机制组成部分，IL-13可诱导基质金属蛋白酶（MMPs）产生。它能引发过敏性肺病的多种特征性病变，包括气道高反应性、杯状细胞化生及黏液过度分泌，这些病变共同导致气道阻塞。
