TGF-beta 1 (Transforming Growth Factor-beta 1) is a multifunctional cytokine belonging to the TGF-beta superfamily, involved in regulating cell proliferation, differentiation, apoptosis, immune response, and extracellular matrix production. It plays critical roles in embryonic development, tissue repair, fibrosis, and cancer progression.
