NUDT19. also known as nudix hydrolase 19. is an enzyme encoded by the *NUDT19* gene in humans. It is primarily localized to peroxisomes and mitochondria, where it catalyzes the hydrolysis of nucleotide diphosphate derivatives, including Coenzyme A (CoA) esters, NADH, and NADPH. This enzymatic activity suggests its role in regulating cellular redox balance, lipid metabolism, and detoxification processes. Dysregulation of NUDT19 has been implicated in metabolic disorders and certain cancers, though its precise physiological and pathological mechanisms remain under investigation.
