GPRC5B (G Protein-Coupled Receptor Class C Group 5 Member B) is an orphan receptor within the GPCR superfamily, characterized by a seven-transmembrane domain structure and extracellular ligand-binding regions. Though its endogenous ligand remains unidentified, GPRC5B is implicated in lipid metabolism, adipose tissue regulation, and cellular differentiation. Studies link it to metabolic disorders, neurodegenerative diseases, and cancers, particularly through interactions with signaling pathways like Wnt/β-catenin and EGFR.

GPRC5B antibodies are critical tools for detecting and quantifying the receptor in techniques such as Western blotting, immunohistochemistry, and flow cytometry. These antibodies typically target extracellular or intracellular epitopes, enabling research into its tissue-specific expression, subcellular localization, and disease-related dysregulation.
