The Ribosomal Protein S8 (RPS8) antibody is a tool used to study the structure and function of the 40S ribosomal subunit, a critical component of the eukaryotic translation machinery. RPS8. encoded by the RPS8 gene in humans, is a core protein of the small ribosomal subunit, contributing to ribosome assembly and mRNA decoding. It plays a role in maintaining ribosomal stability and ensuring accurate protein synthesis. Antibodies targeting RPS8 are widely employed in molecular biology to investigate ribosomal biogenesis, cellular stress responses, and dysregulation in diseases linked to ribosomopathies, such as Diamond-Blackfan anemia or certain cancers.
