Nuclear factor of activated T cells 2 (NFAT2), also known as NFATc1 or NFATc, is a calcium-regulated transcription factor belonging to the NFAT protein family. It plays a critical role in immune response regulation, particularly in T-cell activation, differentiation, and cytokine production. NFAT2 is activated via the calcium-calcineurin signaling pathway, where dephosphorylation by calcineurin enables its nuclear translocation to regulate target genes involved in inflammation, cell proliferation, and apoptosis. Dysregulation of NFAT2 has been linked to autoimmune diseases, cancer progression, and cardiovascular disorders.

NFAT2 antibodies are essential tools for studying its expression, localization, and function in both physiological and pathological contexts. These antibodies enable detection of NFAT2 isoforms (e.g., cytoplasmic phosphorylated or nuclear active forms) using techniques like Western blotting, immunofluorescence, and immunohistochemistry.
