Survivin, a member of the inhibitor of apoptosis protein (IAP) family, is a critical regulator of cell division and apoptosis. It is uniquely overexpressed in most human cancers but minimally detected in normal adult tissues, making it a promising therapeutic and diagnostic target. Survivin antibodies are immunodetection tools designed to recognize and bind Survivin in experimental or clinical samples. These antibodies play a key role in studying Survivin's functions, including its dual role in inhibiting caspase activity to block apoptosis and regulating mitosis through interactions with microtubules.

In research, Survivin antibodies are widely used in techniques like Western blotting, immunohistochemistry (IHC), and flow cytometry to assess protein expression levels, subcellular localization, and correlation with cancer progression or treatment resistance. Clinically, they serve as potential biomarkers for cancer diagnosis, prognosis, and therapeutic monitoring.
