FIZ1 (Flt3 Interacting Zinc finger 1) is a zinc finger-containing protein first identified as a binding partner of the Flt3 tyrosine kinase receptor, which plays roles in hematopoietic and neural development. Expressed in neural tissues, testes, and the retina, FIZ1 is implicated in cell proliferation, differentiation, and survival. In the retina, FIZ1 interacts with the rhodopsin promoter and modulates photoreceptor-specific gene expression, suggesting a role in retinal development and disease. Its involvement in cancer, particularly leukemia and neuroblastoma, has also been explored due to its interaction with signaling pathways like PI3K/AKT.

FIZ1 antibodies are essential tools for detecting and studying FIZ1 protein expression, localization, and function. They are widely used in techniques such as Western blotting, immunoprecipitation, and immunohistochemistry to investigate FIZ1's regulatory mechanisms in both physiological and pathological contexts.
