The DCUN1D3 (Defective in Cullin Neddylation 1 Domain Containing 3) antibody is a tool used to detect and study the DCUN1D3 protein, a member of the DCNL family involved in the neddylation pathway. Neddylation, a post-translational modification similar to ubiquitination, regulates the activity of Cullin-RING E3 ubiquitin ligases (CRLs), which are critical for protein degradation and cellular processes like cell cycle progression, DNA repair, and signaling. DCUN1D3 specifically facilitates the transfer of NEDD8 (a ubiquitin-like protein) to Cullin proteins, enhancing CRL assembly and substrate recognition.
