**Background of UTP18 Antibody**

UTP18 (Uridine Triphosphate 18) is a conserved protein component of the small subunit (SSU) processome, a large ribonucleoprotein complex essential for ribosomal RNA (rRNA) biogenesis. It plays a critical role in the maturation of 18S rRNA, a fundamental step in ribosome assembly, by facilitating the cleavage and modification of precursor rRNA (pre-rRNA) within the nucleolus.
