**Background of YPEL5 Antibody**

YPEL5 (Yippee-like 5) is a member of the YPEL gene family, which is evolutionarily conserved and implicated in cellular processes such as senescence, proliferation, and apoptosis. The human YPEL5 protein, encoded by the *YPEL5* gene (located on chromosome 2q33.1), shares a conserved "Yippee" domain, though its precise molecular function remains under investigation.
