The GAS2L3 (Growth Arrest-Specific 2 Like 3) antibody is a tool used to study the GAS2L3 protein, a member of the GAS2 family implicated in cytoskeletal regulation and cell cycle control. GAS2L3. also known as GAR22 or G2L3. contains a conserved microtubule-binding domain and a calponin homology region, enabling interactions with both microtubules and actin filaments. It plays a role in maintaining cytoskeletal integrity during mitosis, particularly in spindle orientation and cell division fidelity. Dysregulation of GAS2L3 has been linked to mitotic defects, chromosomal instability, and potential oncogenic processes.

Research using GAS2L3 antibodies has highlighted its involvement in cancer progression, with studies showing overexpression in certain tumors, such as colorectal and breast cancers. These antibodies are essential for detecting GAS2L3 expression via techniques like Western blot, immunofluorescence, and immunohistochemistry, aiding in functional studies of its role in cell cycle checkpoints and apoptosis. Recent work also suggests GAS2L3 interacts with components of the Hippo signaling pathway, linking it to tissue growth regulation. Despite its emerging importance, GAS2L3's precise mechanisms remain under investigation, and the antibody serves as a critical reagent for exploring its biological and pathological significance.
