ABCC1 (ATP-binding cassette subfamily C member 1), also known as multidrug resistance-associated protein 1 (MRP1), is a transmembrane transporter belonging to the ABC protein superfamily. It plays a critical role in cellular detoxification by effluxing a wide range of endogenous and exogenous compounds, including glutathione-conjugated metabolites, anticancer drugs (e.g., vinca alkaloids, anthracyclines), and organic anions. ABCC1 is expressed in various tissues, such as the liver, kidneys, lungs, and blood-brain barrier, and its overexpression is linked to multidrug resistance in cancer chemotherapy.

ABCC1 antibodies are essential tools for studying its expression, localization, and function in physiological and pathological contexts.
