The DMXL2 (Dmx-like 2) antibody targets the DMXL2 protein, a member of the WD40 repeat-containing protein family encoded by the DMXL2 gene. DMXL2 is evolutionarily conserved and widely expressed in tissues, particularly in the brain, endocrine cells, and secretory pathways. It plays a critical role in intracellular vesicle trafficking, synaptic function, and regulation of secretory processes, including neurotransmitter and hormone release. Structurally, DMXL2 contains multiple WD40 domains, enabling interactions with diverse proteins to form complexes involved in signaling and transport.

Research highlights DMXL2's involvement in Rab GTPase-mediated vesicle docking/fusion via its association with Rabconnectin-3 complexes.
