The endothelin receptor type B (EDNRB) is a G protein-coupled receptor that binds endothelin peptides (ET-1. ET-2. ET-3), playing critical roles in vasoconstriction, cell proliferation, and neural crest cell development. EDNRB antibodies are tools designed to detect and study this receptor in research and diagnostic contexts. These antibodies are particularly valuable in investigating conditions linked to EDNRB dysfunction, such as Hirschsprung's disease (a congenital disorder caused by defective enteric nervous system development) and cancers like melanoma, where EDNRB overexpression may influence tumor progression and angiogenesis.

Structurally, EDNRB contains seven transmembrane domains typical of GPCRs. Its signaling pathways involve coupling with Gαi/o and Gαq proteins, regulating intracellular calcium levels, MAPK activation, and other downstream effects.
