The CLEC2A (C-type lectin domain family 2 member A) antibody is a tool used to study the CLEC2A protein, a member of the C-type lectin-like receptor family. CLEC2A is primarily expressed on immune cells, including dendritic cells, natural killer (NK) cells, and certain T-cell subsets. It functions as a cell-surface receptor involved in immune regulation, though its exact ligands and signaling mechanisms remain less characterized compared to other CLEC family members. CLEC2A is thought to interact with ligands on neighboring cells or pathogens, potentially modulating immune responses such as cytokine production, cell adhesion, or cytotoxicity.
