The DUSP15 antibody is a tool used to study Dual Specificity Phosphatase 15 (DUSP15), a member of the dual-specificity phosphatase (DUSP) family. DUSPs regulate mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) signaling by dephosphorylating both tyrosine and threonine residues, thereby modulating cellular responses to growth factors, stress, and immune signals. DUSP15. also known as VHY, is less characterized compared to other DUSPs but is implicated in diverse biological processes. It is structurally distinct, containing a conserved catalytic domain but lacking N-terminal MAPK-binding motifs, suggesting unique regulatory mechanisms.

DUSP15 is highly expressed in testis and has been linked to germ cell development and spermatogenesis. Emerging studies suggest roles in immune regulation, cancer, and metabolic disorders, though its precise functions remain under investigation. The antibody enables detection and quantification of DUSP15 in tissues or cells via techniques like Western blotting, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence. Researchers use it to explore DUSP15's expression patterns, subcellular localization, and interactions with signaling partners.

Interest in DUSP15 has grown due to its potential as a therapeutic target, particularly in cancers with dysregulated MAPK pathways.
